Post-Treatment Care
Instructions for Waxing, Microneedling, and Chemical Peels. Freezepen Aftercare comes with the treatment.
I wanted to provide you with some important post-treatment care instructions for the treatment you recently received – especially if it was waxing, microneedling or a chemical peel.
Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure the best results and minimize any potential side effects. Please read the following guidelines carefully:
Waxing:
1. Avoid hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms for at least 24 hours after waxing to prevent irritation.
2. Do not apply any perfumed products, lotions, or deodorants to the waxed area for 24 hours.
3. Exfoliate the waxed area gently 2-3 times a week to prevent ingrown hairs.
4. Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for 24 hours to prevent skin damage. Please wear sunscreen daily min of a 30.
Microneedling:
1. Keep the treated area clean and avoid touching it with unwashed hands to prevent infections.
2. Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 48 hours and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily. Minimum SPF30.
3. Do not use any harsh skincare products or exfoliants for 24-48 hours post-treatment.
4. Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and saunas for 48 hours to prevent irritation.
5 it is highly recommended that you now change your pillowcase and sterilise your mobile phone and sunglasses/reading glasses.
Please also avoid any injectable treatments for the next 7 full days.
Chemical Peels:
1. Do not pick or peel any flaking skin post-peel to prevent scarring.
2. Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated and promote healing.
3. Avoid sun exposure for at least a week and use a high SPF sunscreen daily then reapply every couple of hours.
4. Do not undergo any other exfoliating treatments for 2 weeks post-peel.
5 it is highly recommended that you now change your pillowcase and sterilise your mobile phone and sunglasses/reading glasses.
Please also avoid any injectable treatments for the next 7 full days.
